The Cider Box

The Cider Box makes cider and hosts events at Arch 5 Silverthorne Ln in Bristol, inside a Victorian railway arch. Founded in 2012, the business started developing its Bristol taproom in 2020, and the site opened during lockdown. Cider is fermented on the premises in small batches, while the taproom serves guest cider selections and other drinks, as well as cheese and tastings. The St Philip’s site opened as a weekend taproom, with cider-focused events among its activities. Daniel Heath owns the business.

The space holds public and private events, including DJ nights, and has hosted promoters Intrigue and Groove. The site holds about 150; event layouts allow up to 120 people standing, while private hire can accommodate 90 guests. Past performers at the venue include Sydney Bryce, Keeno, Aaron Jay and Ben Soundscape.
