The Croft is a late-night pub and live music venue at 117-119 Stokes Croft in Bristol, with a back room for performances and free entry each day. Established in 2000, the original venue opened in 2002. Matt Otridge took charge of its programming and secured the lease in 2007, running it with Fat Paul and Pete of Replay Records until 2013. The Stokes Croft venue closed in May that year, and its events moved to Exchange. It later traded as The Crofters Rights, closing in August 2024 before reopening under The Croft name in 2025.
The current live room holds 140 people; earlier arrangements had a 110-person performance room and a 250-person club space. Music spans punk, electronic, indie and experimental styles, with events run by promoters including Intrigue and Transparent Audio. Artists who have performed there include Deselecta, Primitive Instinct, Geostatic and Jayro. World Famous Dive Bars runs the reopened venue, which became community-owned after a six-month campaign, with Music Venue Properties as landlord.
