The DBA

The DBA is a pub and music venue at 95 Cheetham Hill Road in Cheetham Hill, Manchester. The Derby Brewery Arms opened as a pub in 2021 and is owned by Joseph Holt. It occupies a Grade II-listed building on a former pub site. Its earlier role as a working-class community pub preceded its development as a venue serving queer and marginalised communities. In Manchester’s Strange Quarter, The DBA operates as a community music venue.

Electronic events there range across house, techno and experimental music. One room has held a 200-person techno rave while football was shown in another, and the site includes an outdoor courtyard garden. Mukes Events, Deranged Nights and sonic__archive have run events at the venue. Performers at the venue have included I. Jordan, Shy One, Or:la and Mura Masa.
