The Midway occupies a 40,000-square-foot site in Dogpatch, San Francisco, at 900 Marin Street, one block from Muni. Established in 2015, it brings together spaces for music, art, technology and culinary activities, and partners with local nonprofits focused on music and the arts.
RiDE, the main room for dancing and performances, holds 1,500 people standing and has a Funktion-One EVO sound system. The venue also contains a lounge called Gods & Monsters, alongside CarreSel, Gallery, Patio, Terrace and 888 Garage. Programming has included underground DJs and electronic music producers. Church of Drum and Bass has run nights there alongside the venue’s own events, with DJs such as duchess, khariszma, Cesco and Neumonic. Peter Glikshtern and Jordan Langer owned the venue in 2020.
