The Point

The Point is a live-music venue and late-night bar on North Milwaukee Avenue in Wicker Park, Chicago. It opened in 2021 in premises previously occupied by Flat Iron Bar, The Note and Blue Note. Owner Jun Lin bought the venue during the pandemic and fitted it with a Funktion-One sound system. Capacity was about 300.

Bookings ranged from house music to electronic acts and DJs working across different styles. Promoters included delamota, while artists who played there included Silent Hype, Alfonz De La Mota, Toyacoyah and DJ Slugo. House bookings included Gene Hunt and Mike Dunn. Before closing, the venue also booked bullet tooth and DJ Sliink. Chicago police closed The Point in February 2022 after shootings in the area, including a fatal shooting outside the club in October 2021.
