The Prospect Building

The Prospect Building is a venue for music and cultural events at 45 Feeder Road in Bristol, close to Temple Meads station. Formerly used by the Ministry of Defence to store torpedoes, the building is owned and operated by A Man About A Dog (AMAAD). The organisation previously held events in railway arches and temporary pop-up locations before opening its first permanent venue in September 2024, with Overmono performing at the launch.

Across 25,000 square feet, the site holds about 3,500. The main indoor room measures 40 by 45 metres and accommodates more than 3,000 people, with a sound system designed for the venue by L-Acoustics. During events in the main room, the adjoining Crane space serves as Room Two; it holds up to 1,350 standing or 500 seated, and has six-point surround sound and a stage accessible from every side. An 1,800-square-metre courtyard is used for outdoor events.

Programming includes club nights and live performances, spanning house, techno, garage and reggae alongside indie and rock. Promoters and organisers that have held events or partnered with the venue include The Blast and Team Love, as well as LWE, Fabric and Junction 2. Opening-season performers included HAAi, Floating Points and Horse Meat Disco, while other artists to play there include Jakes and A.M.C.
