The Red Room is at 398 Richards St, at the edge of Vancouver’s Gastown. This family-run venue presents DJ sets and live performances. Its main room has an open-plan layout, with seating, a stage and a sunken dance floor. Intelligent lighting and an LED wall are also part of the room’s setup. The room uses a PK Sound system. The venue has standing capacity for 450 people.
Digital Motion presents SUBculture, a weekly Saturday event that has run at the venue since April 2014. Its bass-music programme includes drum and bass and dubstep; Digital Motion BC has also promoted events there. The Friday event Cancun Nites features Latin music and Top 40. Visages, Rusko, K Motionz and Enei are among the performers who have played at The Red Room.
