The Steel Yard opened in 2014 at 13-16 Allhallows Lane in the City of London, near Cannon Street station. Regan McVaddy and Euan Johnston opened the venue after renovating the former Loose Cannon nightclub space, which uses three Victorian railway arches. Before becoming The Steel Yard, the premises traded as City Bar, Loose Cannon and Fifteen 05.
With capacity for 800 people, the venue is equipped with a Nova Line Array sound system and an upgraded lighting rig. Its programme spans electronic music and other styles.
