The Third Day is an indoor and outdoor warehouse venue on Macaulay Road in North Melbourne, Australia. It occupies a 1920s building that housed a flag factory and costume warehouse before being left as a burnt-out shell. The space began operating as an event venue in 2015, with its first party held on Boxing Day. Early parties centred mostly on house music, with Berlin’s club scene among their influences.
The venue has a capacity of about 300 and four spaces, including the Warehouse Bar, Chivas Lounge and Lushsux Laneway, an outdoor courtyard with street art by Lushsux. The Warehouse Bar has a DJ booth, while the Chivas Lounge has its own bar and overlooks the venue. Live performances use a Funktion-One sound system. Events have ranged across electronica, indie rock, comedy and theatre, while drum and bass nights have been run by Twisted Audio, Mainstage, Run 'n Chase and The Operatives. Artists to play there include MELTA, REAPER, Inja and Metrik.
