The Ulster Sports Club is a music venue on High Street in Belfast city centre. Founded on Ann Street in 1927, the members’ club moved to 96–98 High Street in 1968. Its three-storey home was built as a furniture shop in 1935 and survived the Belfast Blitz of 1941. The club had been men-only until women were admitted in 1968.
The original club closed at the end of 2018 after declining membership made it financially unviable. Beannchor Group acquired the building, reopening it as a music venue in May 2019. It has four event spaces, including the Committee Room, with a sound system and standing capacity of 40–50, and the Lounge, which holds 144 standing. Out of Office has a sound system and capacity for 100 standing; the building also has front and saloon bars.
Crilli has promoted events there, with artists including Bad Operator, Yoru, DJ Hazard and DJ Marky. Out of Office Brewing opened on the building’s top floor in July 2022.
