The Waiting Room is a basement music venue beneath The Three Crowns pub at 175 Stoke Newington High Street, Stoke Newington, London. The room previously operated as The Drop, where Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston held their monthly A Love From Outer Space night. It relaunched under its current name in 2012. The Three Crowns and The Waiting Room were later taken over by 586 Ltd, the team behind The Lock Tavern and The Shacklewell Arms.
Capacity is about 120. The sound system includes Martin Audio Blackline f15 front-of-house speakers, f18 subwoofers and f12 monitors. The venue hosts live music and club nights, with Friday and Saturday programming centred on leftfield electronic music. Past club nights include UK Hun? and Pop Never Dies, alongside A Love From Outer Space. SoundsCrazyUK and Subtle Radio are among the promoters to have run events there.
Artists who have played include Fracture, Lumeni, PANACEA and Daniel Avery. Four Tet has also appeared, while Caribou held a four-night residency in September 2024.
