Thuishaven

Thuishaven is an event venue on Contactweg in Amsterdam West, on the city’s western outskirts. Founded in 2013 by Job Cederhout, Jordi van der Heij, Kasper Jorissen and Ilian Klinkhamer, it began with outdoor Sunday events. A circus tent later enabled winter parties, billed as the Wintercircus, and in 2014 the programme expanded to Amsterdam Dance Event.

The site has five indoor and outdoor areas, including the Tempel open-air stage, the Loods hall and the Circus tent, with several bars and capacity for about 2,500. From May to September, events use the outdoor stage alongside tents and the hangar; between October and April, the stages operate indoors in heated tents and the hangar. The programme spans house, techno and harder dance, with drum and bass represented by promoter Liquicity and artists including Delta Heavy, Lexurus, Maduk and Nymfo. Thuishaven launched its Haven Trax label in 2024.
