Thunderbird Hall

Thunderbird Hall is an event venue on Frankford Avenue in Kensington, Philadelphia, at 2856 Frankford Avenue. It opened in November 2023, after the building’s use as a meeting place for the Improved Order of Red Men. Its first event was a talent show for Kensington performers, held in 2023.

The hall occupies the building’s second floor, where a stage serves concerts, performances, vintage fashion shows and community events. It can accommodate about 300 people. The venue also functions as a warehouse for Thunderbird Salvage, a thrift and salvage business at 2441 Frankford Avenue, and hosts pop-up sales for the business alongside seasonal events and shops. Drum and bass has featured at the hall, with Hostile City among the promoters to run events there. Artists who have played include Skuzz, Buunshin, Electric Honey and Dieselboy. A Halloween drum-and-bass event in 2025 was billed around the venue’s thrift-shop connection.
