Toekomstmuziek

Toekomstmuziek is located at Danzigerbocht 29 in Amsterdam’s Houthavens, in a warehouse where the venue began operating on June 3, 2022. Musician and entrepreneur Kian Ho helped pay for its establishment through a crowdfunding campaign. It holds about 500 people and has a Funktion-One sound system and a smaller upper room.

The venue hosts emerging musicians and bands, alongside activities involving art, street food, craft beer and wine. Performers receive a share of bar and kitchen revenue under its operating model. Its aims include widening access to live music and improving sustainability for independent underground artists and the wider music sector. Promoters such as Haunted Science, VIAVIA and Underground Echoes have run events there, with performers including Chris Inperspective, MC Gusto and SPLINTER.
