Triangle

Triangle is a nightclub in Osaka’s Amerikamura district, beside Triangle Park and across from Sankaku Koen. It began operating in 2002 in the RIBIA building at 2-18-5 Nishishinsaibashi, Chuo-ku, Osaka-shi, Osaka, Japan. The venue occupies the building’s third, fourth and fifth floors; its name refers to both its location near Sankaku Koen and its three-level layout. Manager Toyokazu Yoshioka was there from the launch, initially working as bar staff.

Triangle has three spaces, including a chill-out area and a rooftop terrace with a jacuzzi, and a listed capacity of 350. Its music has included drum and bass, techno and house, with drum-and-bass parties among its early programming. Kensei and DJ Kakepon established the club night Run Da Bass, which holds a monthly event at the club focused on UK bass, including jungle and drum and bass. KAZYA DMT Ent. has also promoted events there. KUNIMITSU began the monthly TetralogisticS party at Triangle in 2008.

TetralogisticS has hosted artists including Luke Vibert, O.N.O of Tha Blue Herb and GOMA. Police raided Triangle in spring 2011 during enforcement of Japan’s nightlife regulations, taking Yoshioka and staff to a police station for questioning. The owner was later arrested and left the business, which was then sold to other investors. At a 2024 event, Funktion-One sound systems were used on the Potential and Sky floors.
