XOYO

XOYO stands at 32-37 Cowper Street in Shoreditch, London, and has operated as a club and live music venue since opening in September 2010. The site was previously a print works; its launch involved Cymon Eckel, The Vinyl Factory, Johnno Burgess, Marcus Weedon and Tom Baker. The Columbo Group ran the venue between 2012 and 2021, when TEG MJR took over. Propaganda Independent Venues acquired XOYO in 2025, and Kirk Allen became its director.

Its first rooms were the Basement and Green Room, with a D&B system installed at opening. During 2026, the venue altered its rooms and improved the sound and lighting; the Basement received more Void speakers and amplifiers, while The Jungle was added as a second room. XOYO hosts live performances as well as club events, with music ranging from house and disco to techno and drum and bass. Insomnia London, Weird Science, A MAN ABOUT A DOG and XOYO London have all promoted events there.

On Fridays, XOYO schedules DJ residencies in quarterly blocks, each lasting three months. Among former residents are Ben UFO, Calibre and Andy C; Eats Everything took the first residency in January 2015. Pleasurehood pairs resident DJs with live performers and draws on melodic house, disco and techno. Other artists to play at the venue include Jumping Jack Frost, Moose and Sweetpea.
