Yamamori Tengu

At 37 Strand Street Great in Dublin’s North City, Yamamori Tengu occupies a space behind a Japanese restaurant. The Ryan family owns Yamamori. The club began welcoming dancers in 2013; the space first operated as Bar Tengu before it hosted parties and club nights. Its capacity is about 250. A second room, Kaizen Bar, has its own sound system, while the main room uses Funktion-One equipment.

Programming spans underground electronic music, jazz, live sets and workshops, with local performers alongside international acts. Yamamori Tengu, Initial, DUDJ and inHabit have promoted events there. After the COVID-19 lockdowns, the venue introduced an in-house residency series featuring Irish artists such as Sally C, Or:la, Sunil Sharpe and Ngoni. It also started Soundsystem Sundays with Rub A Dub HiFi. Artists who have played the club include DJ Storm and Double O, and Dylan Fogarty was named a resident in August 2025.
