Zur Klappe is a club beneath Yorckstrasse in Kreuzberg, Berlin, occupying a former public toilet at the Yorckstraße and Mehringdamm junction. The toilets had served as clandestine meeting places for gay men. The space, unused as a venue but the site of illegal raves, was later developed as a cultural venue by Sören van Laak and Flint Neiber. They won a district tender after Berlin advertised the site in 2012. Zur Klappe opened as an art bar in late 2017, later becoming a club; its underground-club operation included a nine-month pause before a relaunch.
The single-room venue has a capacity of about 150, with roughly 100 square metres of floor space, original tiles and graffiti, and a Funktion-One sound system. Its programme centres on techno and house, with acid-inspired music also featured. DJ Flounce and blanq slate have run events there; artists to play include DJ NORTHERN, Souci, Soyklo and Sweetpea. In March 2024, Zur Klappe launched Joyride, a house series focused on acid-inspired sounds, with its first edition curated by Camilla Rae for 303 Day.
