Grooverider – the godfather of jungle and drum and bass. I’ve got so many incredible stories to share about the great man himself. He’s one of the kindest, most genuine people you could ever meet. Always willing to lend a hand, offer sound advice, and fight for what’s right.
With a career spanning over 35 years, Groove has been a foundational figure in the UK underground scene, from the Acid House days through to early house, rave, jungle, and drum and bass. He’s been an integral part of the movement, and no matter who you are, he always made you feel like the most important person in the world.
What an absolute legend. I’m so grateful to call him my friend, as I know many others do too. Grooverider, I’m giving you your flowers – you’re a true icon of the music industry, and you’ve paved the way for so many others to follow.
