Based near Brussels, Belgian producer and DJ Jason Verstraeten makes music as 11th Hour. He started creating music around 2011, then gave production more serious attention from 2013. That year, he also played his first DJ set, warming up for BunZer0. Mary Anne Hobbs and N-Type were among his early inspirations. His work centres on bass-oriented dubstep around 140 BPM, although he has experimented with other genres. The first release he put on wax sold out in less than five days. In 2011, he released the single Dubstep Essentials 2011 with Mr Whacka on Dubtastic.
Early releases included an EP made with Belgian producer ARtroniks for Dubtastic Records and another collaboration, with Subreachers, released by FatKidOnFire. He also put out the track Ishwara on a Mindstep Records compilation and made Shaman available as a free download through After Dark Music. With Leap, he released Khorasan on Frozen Plates’ FZP03 vinyl release. His music has also appeared on Uprise Audio, Wheel & Deal Records and DUPLOC, as well as Dubtastic, FatKidOnFire and Frozen Plates. Other labels on which his music has appeared include Basskruit, Locus Sound, Deep Dark & Dangerous and Black Teeth Records.
Among his later releases are the EP Uncharted EP, released in 2020, and the album Project XI, which arrived in 2023 and contains 11 tracks. That year, he also released the EP Enchantress. He has also collaborated with BunZer0 and Subreachers, alongside his work with ARtroniks, Leap and Hebbe.
In 2024, 11th Hour released the EP System. That year, he also released the single Complex on Locus Sound. A collaboration with Hebbe, the single DUPLOC LEGACY 1 (sampler), added another joint release to his work with other producers. In 2025, he released the single Ignition on Deep Dark & Dangerous.
