Anwius

Anwius is the stage name of Szymon Awsiukiewicz, a Warsaw-based Polish drum and bass producer who has been making music since 2017. Ableton Live, which came with a Launchpad, was his route into production; the genre’s fast tempo and range of subgenres drew him in. His early releases were self-released, before music began appearing on Suspended Sounds, Glitch Audio, Lizplay Records and DNBB Records from 2022 to 2023. He has also released music through High Tea Music and Interstellar Audio. Anwius has described an aim of making atmospheric music that listeners can interpret for themselves. In 2020, he released the single “Fallen.” His 2021 album Shadow includes the track “Logos.”

His releases include the 2022 album Follow the Light. Anwius’s production often brings piano melodies together with deep bass, and his sound draws on liquid and deep drum and bass. In 2023, he released On the Last Day EP through Suspended Sounds and “Breaking Away” through DNBB Digital. His 2024 single “Inability” came out on High Tea Music. He has also worked with Robtopus on the track “Last Train Home” and with Blake Boswell on the drum and bass track “Twilight”, released through Lizplay Records.

The four-track Reflection EP arrived on Interstellar Audio on 4 April 2025, with “Sunder”, “Illusion”, “Raindrop” and “Thoughts” among its tracks. For the EP, Anwius focused on punchier, more dynamic drums, using heavily reverberated vocals within its ambient texture. In 2026, Anwius released the EP Shivers with Dave Damage.
