Bad Company UK

Bad Company UK is an English drum and bass group formed in 1998 by Jason Maldini, Michael Wojcicki, Dan Stein and Darren White, known as Maldini, Vegas, DJ Fresh and dBridge. Before the group came together, Maldini and dBridge worked as Future Forces, while Absolute Zero and Wojcicki worked together as Fresh & Vegas. Future Forces and Fresh & Vegas had released music through Renegade Hardware and Metro. Bad Company first emerged from those earlier projects, and the name later became Bad Company UK to distinguish the group’s work from that of the rock band of the same name. The group used Bad Company UK on most releases from late 2002, following a legal battle with the rock band.

The group’s breakout track was The Nine, released in 1998, and The Nine / The Bridge also appeared as a 12-inch single. In 1999, The Fear came out on BC Recordings. The group released the album Inside the Machine and the album Digital Nation, which featured Crucafixion and Son Of Nitrous. It also released The Pulse on Prototype. Later, Ice Station Zero came out through RAM Recordings.

After the original group split, Maldini and Vegas continued recording as Bad Company UK. Their later releases included the 2009 single Bullet Time (Remixes) on Bad Taste Recordings, and they formed the trio Blokhe4d with producer Uman. In 2016, Bad Company UK signed to RAM Records. The group also released a remix of The Prodigy’s The Day Is My Enemy. The four members received support from Fabio, Grooverider, Andy C and Goldie.

In 2022, Bad Company UK released Oxygen (Prolix Remix) on BC Recordings with Prolix. The following year brought Torpedo (InsideInfo Remix) with InsideInfo and Spider (Optiv & BTK Remix) with Optiv, both on BC Recordings. The group owns BC Authorised, BC Halo, BC Presents... and Square One.
