In 1994, Big Bud began releasing drum-and-bass music under the name of producer Robin O'Reilly. Early 12-inch releases for LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking label included Blue 52, Emotionography and State of Mind. His production pairs breakbeat rhythms with soulful sounds influenced by jazz and funk, and he has worked as both a producer and DJ.
Good Looking released Big Bud’s album Infinity + Infinity in 1999, followed by Late Night Blues in 2001. His releases have also appeared on Creative Source, Nuphonic and Moving Shadow, as well as the Good Looking-associated Looking Good label. In 2005, he released the album Fear of Flying, which included recordings made in Belize with local musicians and vocalists. The album Connections followed in 2009.
Big Bud has run Soundtrax and worked with DJ Element to run Soundtrax Records and Super8Sound. His later releases include the album Producer 07 in 2013, the single Ellen / Decompression in 2020 and the single Yeah in 2022. In August 2026, Big Bud played at Petrovaradin Fortress.
