Billy Lockett is a singer-songwriter, pianist and producer, born and raised in Northampton. His EP Reset was his personal favourite and, at the time, his most successful record. He also released the EP Reflections in 2021. During lockdown, Lockett wrote, performed and produced the piano-led album Together At Home in his cellar studio, combining new pieces with classical reworkings of earlier songs.
Written and recorded in his family home in Northampton, Lockett’s first album, Abington Grove, arrived in 2023. He described it as an album about mental health, with songs reflecting difficult situations and his responses to them. Producer Barney Cox helped make creating music fun, while Lockett’s management and label gave him creative control over the album. Previously signed to New York-based Photo Finish Records, Lockett toured in support of Birdy, Lana Del Rey and KT Tunstall, then later toured with Lewis Capaldi and Electric Light Orchestra. He was a featured vocalist on “Love To Give” with Dimension and “Drowning Mind” with Goddard.
