Bizzy B began DJing in the mid-1980s, drawn first to hip-hop, acid house and ragga, before becoming active as a UK jungle DJ and producer in the early 1990s. In 1991, he founded Brain Records, which released his own tracks. He also co-owned the 2 Getherness record shop.
Brain Records put out Bizzy B’s “Darkness,” “Weekend” and “Dubplate Wars,” as well as the “2 Dope” EP, between 1992 and 1994. The label also released early work by Technical Itch, Peshay and DJ Zinc. He and Dean Vincent first met at London’s Laserdrome club in 1993, then formed The Dream Team in 1994. The duo released “Stamina” and “Warriors” on Suburban Base.
Bizzy B formed The Dream Team with Dean Vincent, also known as Pugwash, releasing music on Suburban Base Records and Joker Records. He collaborated with TDK, Equinox and Peshay. Around the turn of the millennium, he made UK garage as part of The Beatfreaks and Second Protocol, and also produced drum and bass as Warped Science. Bizzy B said that a T-shirt printing business and clothing brands were part of his work alongside music.
Bizzy B released “Slowjam” and “DarkIII” on Whitehouse. He put out the “Science EP” series and the album Retrospective on Planet Mu, and in 2015 released Science EP Volumes III & IV with Equinox. He said “Basslick,” released as Second Protocol, was personally significant to him and sold more than 56,000 copies in 2000.
