Breach is the club-focused project of Hertfordshire-born Ben Westbeech, a singer, DJ and producer who developed musically in Bristol. He launched the project in 2010 with the EP Fatherless, released on PTN. As Breach, Westbeech makes music drawing on house, UK garage and drum & bass, with releases on Dirtybird, Ramp, Pets Recordings, 20/20 Vision and AUS Music; he also records as a singer under his own name.
Westbeech founded Naked Naked in 2012, releasing his own work alongside music by Midland, Cinnaman, Dark Sky, Dusky, Lorca and Viers. Breach’s 2013 Dirtybird single Jack reached No. 9 on the UK Singles Chart. Everything You Never Had (We Had It All), featuring Andreya Triana, reached No. 2 on the UK Dance Chart. Breach also issued the EPs Culture and Turtle Dance on Naked Naked. The EPs Artis EP and Dim Sum EP followed in 2014 and 2015. His track “The Click” was a collaboration with Dark Sky, and he also collaborated with Kelis on “The Key.” Westbeech said the vocal hook for Jack came after he discussed a track idea with Dirtybird founder Claude VonStroke; it first appeared as a B-side. Breach’s first event recorded on Resident Advisor’s platform was in 2007.
Westbeech collaborated with Henrik Schwarz and formed The Vision with American DJ Kon. The project’s disco-infused single Heaven, featuring Andreya Triana, was released as a collaboration between Westbeech and Kon. The Vision’s self-titled debut album followed on Defected Records in 2020. In 2025, Westbeech released the solo album Everything Is Within You, featuring Obi Franky, RAHH, Dames Brown, Hot Toddy, Karen Harding, Mousse T and Davie. Breach released Sun Salutations EP in 2021 on These Eyes.
