DJ Brockie began DJing at 13, playing reggae, rare groove and hip-hop before moving through techno and hardcore into jungle. Active as a DJ since 1988, Brockie was involved in jungle from its early days. In 1991, Brockie helped establish Kool FM 94.5 with friends Eastman and Smurph, and became closely associated with the station’s jungle and drum & bass programming. Brockie began working with MC Det in 1992, forming a DJ-and-MC pairing that became well known in the scene.
In 1997, Brockie founded Undiluted Recordings with Ed Solo to release their own music. Their collaborations include the track “Turntable 1.” Later releases on the label include the 2020 single Represent (2020 Remix). Brockie also released the 2020 single BBC with MC Det, followed by the 2021 single Echo Box (ANFM & Serum Remixes) with Ed Solo. In 2024, Brockie, DJ Limited and Ed Solo released the single System Check (DJ Limited Remix) on Undiluted Recordings.
