Andrew Isaac Hu, who records as Feint, was born in the United Kingdom and raised in Blackburn. The English drum and bass producer and DJ began sharing music on YouTube in the early 2010s, after starting to self-release around 2010. Feint has cited Pendulum, Netsky, Fred V & Grafix, Matrix & Futurebound and Logistics as influences. Guitar is often where Hu begins writing ideas, before shaping them into electronic arrangements. His work is associated with melodic dancefloor drum and bass.
Feint described joining the Liquicity channel as an early breakthrough. His first release with Monstercat was the single Atlas, included on Monstercat 001 – Launch Week. He has said Monstercat supported his sound and ideas, and that he was among the label’s early artists. His relationship with Liquicity Records later grew close. His music has also appeared on Kannibalen, NoCopyrightSounds, Ophelia, Seeking Blue and Subsphere. The EPs Always Here, Fall Away, Defiant and Lost & Found are among his releases. In 2011, he released the single Feint EP1 on Dirt, Lies & Audio Black.
Vocal collaborations include two singles with singer-songwriter Laura Brehm: We Won’t Be Alone and Words. Feint also worked with Fox Stevenson on the single Everything’s Wrong, and with Dabin on When You Return, featuring Daniela Andrade. The single Outbreak, made with MYLK, was part of the Rocket League and Monstercat project. With HYLIA, Feint made Treading Water for Ophelia Records’ Advent – Drum & Bass compilation.
In 2021, Feint released Living in a Dream (feat. Natalie Major) [Feint Remix] on Central Station Records with Quinn Karter. His 2024 single Hope I Did Okay came out on igroovemusic.com. In 2025, he released Bloom on Starsent with DJ SALLY, followed by It's True with Kate McGill on Liquicity Records. In 2026, Feint released Use That Love on Monstercat with Felix Samuel and Voicians.
