Norwegian producer Eivind Rønning began making hardcore around 2003–2004, after developing an interest in electronic music around 2001. By 2006–2007, Rønning had moved into drum and bass, working under the name Fishy. The music draws on liquid and atmospheric drum and bass, jungle and older breakbeat sounds. Fishy has released through Omni Music, Soul Deep Recordings, Smooth N Groove Records and Offworld Recordings, and has worked with Dan Guidance, Marvel Cinema and Peron.
Fishy’s 2012 single Enjoy Life / Endless Nights came out on Soul Bros. Records. Rønning later collaborated with Dan Guidance on “Haven”, released on a Four Corners Music compilation. In 2026, Fishy released the single Cloud World on Lizplay Records, followed by Head In The Clouds on DNBB Digital and Your Eyes on DNBB Records. The 2026 single Progression appeared on Grand Theft Audio Recordings UK, while Abstract Shapes, another 2026 single, was released on Portal Recordings with Dan Guidance.
