Flowidus is a drum and bass duo formed by Raphael Henderson and Garo Wolf Tanzi, who began working together in 2015 after meeting at an event in Perth. Henderson is from Raglan, New Zealand, while Tanzi is from Perth, Australia, where the duo is based. Before adopting the Flowidus name, they released music as Dealt Fairly and Spillage. The pair also met while performing under their solo names and began sharing and finishing each other’s tracks.
Their sound combines melodic dancefloor drum and bass with driving bass lines. In 2016, Flowidus released the EP From The Storm on PROGRAM. They released music on RAM Records and Liquicity before signing exclusively to Friction’s Elevate imprint in 2018. Their releases have also appeared on Monstercat and NIGHTMODE, and their EPs include Arrival and Footsteps. In 2025, they launched their own imprint, FLWDSMSC. Flowidus also released Your Way through Elevate Records. In 2026, their releases included Go Red on FLWDSMSC, Run The Track on NIGHTMODE, Midnight Sound with HARLEE on Monstercat, Lock It (Hoax Remix) with Hoax and Loboski on Wobbles & Waffles, and Keep Me Waiting with Midnite Amity on Liquicity Records. Their first event on Resident Advisor was recorded in 2019.
Collaborations include Horizons with New Zealand musician Tiki Taane and By Your Side with Friction and Raphaella, which earned Platinum certification. The duo also worked with The Upbeats on Say My Name. They described collaborating with Friction as a “pinch yourself” moment, as his music helped inspire them to get into drum and bass. Their 2020 song Shelter addresses growing beyond one’s shelter and living freely without prejudice, oppression or fear. The duo have discussed how their working process changed as they began exchanging music remotely: they missed sharing a studio, but felt that working apart had increased their output.
