FooR is a Southampton quartet formed in 2015 by childhood friends Gavin Foord, Paul Aki, MC Jukie and Tyrone. The group began by making bootleg remixes before moving on to original singles and EPs, and its remix of Rude Kid’s I’m Sorry received regular support on BBC Radio 1Xtra. FooR’s 2015 single Gravity, made with South Royston, came out on Champion Records. The group has also remixed tracks by Skepta, Wiley and Stormzy. FooR also released remixes of Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know” and Ultra Naté’s “Free.”
FooR’s music draws on UK garage and breakbeat hardcore alongside contemporary bass music and grime. In 2017, the group took over compiling and mixing the Pure Garage series from DJ EZ. While working on a Pure Garage album, its members found few labels putting out new UK garage and started Garage Shared to release and showcase emerging artists in the style. FooR also runs the sister label GS Dubs, as well as YosH, which focuses on drum and bass and bass music. Its operations extend to SO Movement, a talent-development brand and label. The group comprises producers, musicians and DJs from the south coast of England.
Released in February 2018, FooR’s album Friends of FooR reached number nine on the UK dance albums chart and featured Jaguar Skills, Lisa Maffia, Majestic and Bassboy. The group’s track 3 Words with Effie passed six million streams. FooR later released See You In June with Ellie Evans and worked with Mollie Collins on Too Bad; in 2022, it released See You In June (CLSM Remix) with CLSM. In 2024, FooR released Holding On with Doktor and Tyrone on Relentless Records. Its 2026 releases include Things You Do on GS Dubs, I Got U with CLSM and Emma Cannon on YosH, and Do Me A Favour with AK RENNY on Garage Shared.
