Jinadu, the professional name of Simon Jinadu, was raised between Nigeria, York and London and spent five years as a chorister at York Minster. Based in London, he works as a vocalist, songwriter, producer, DJ and keyboard player, writing and producing his own material. His Anglo-African heritage and early choral training have informed his music. He is also one half of the band The Beauty Room. In 2013, he released the single Searching with Nitri on Horizons Music. As part of The Beauty Room, Jinadu collaborated with producer Kirk DiGeorgio.
Jinadu’s collaborations include Black Coffee, Deetron, Dixon, Jimpster, Dave Lee, Jody Wisternoff and Om Unit. His work has appeared on Defected, Anjunadeep, Innervisions and Watergate, and he has been featured on more than 200 collaborations. These include a vocal feature on Lost, a track by Black Coffee and Angelos from the Grammy-winning album Subconsciously. He also collaborated with Claudio Ricci on “Above My Head,” which appeared on Ricci’s Stripped Down imprint.
In 2024, Jinadu released the single Always with Meyer on Break Records and the EP 4 For The Floor, made with Patrick Topping and Piotr on Trick. His albums include Nevada (2015) and Inside Out (2019). In 2025, In Tension came out on Still Life. That year, he also released the single Black Hole Sun with DJ Fudge and Hallex M. on United Music Records, followed by Something Inside (Blanche Palace Rework) with Blanche Palace and MONTMARTRE on Universal Music Division Barclay.
