Mitekiss, the music name of producer Jonathan Pathan, also known as Jonny, is from Croydon in South London. He began making music in his teens and spent years experimenting with different genres before focusing on drum and bass. His early releases include the 2016 EP Final Hours and the 2017 EP Some People. His music has appeared on Hospital Records, Shogun Audio, Spearhead, Footnotes, Bingo and MTA Records.
In 2015, Mitekiss and Mr Porter started Goldfat, an independent drum-and-bass label that they co-run. The label later developed a regular release schedule, and Mitekiss has also put out music on Goldfat. His 2018 album Crate Six Seven came out on Hospital Records; he has also released the album Bolivian Hotel Bistro and the EP Night Bus Stories. The latter features vocals from Javeon, Milo Merah, RSWT and Mr Porter. Mitekiss has worked on music with Hugh Hardie, Whiney and Makoto.
His vocal collaborations include “Lie Awake” with Degs and “Something Real” with Ruth Corey, and he has also worked with DRS and Rosie P. His music has featured in the soundtracks for Forza Horizon 4 and Forza Horizon 5. In interviews, Mitekiss has said that he prefers working in the studio to DJing and that creative expression, rather than performance, has shaped much of his approach to making music. His productions have also appeared in film and broadcast.
In 2025, Mitekiss released the album INCOGNITO alongside several singles. “Those Eyes” came out on Spearhead Records with Mark Menzies, while “Blur Mistake” was released on Footnotes. Goldfat released “Spenny Henny / Head South”, and UKF released “Hold You Down”, featuring Kate McGill and Keeno. His 10-song album No Radio Play is described as his first fully independent record.
