Nathan Smoker

Nathan Smoker is a singer, songwriter and producer from South East London whose work spans electronic, dance, drum & bass, house and grime. He began performing in musical theatre, appearing in the West End production of Oliver! at eight, before moving from the stage into contemporary music as a writer, producer and live performer. In 2021, he reached the semi-finals of The Voice UK on Olly Murs’s team.

His collaboration with James Hiraeth, No Warning (feat. Nathan Smoker), became a drum & bass hit, passing five million streams in its first six months. Released as a single on NUFORM in 2023, it was revisited the following year in a Voltage remix, also issued on the label. Smoker has also worked with Vibe Chemistry, Zdot and T & Sugah. His releases include credits on NUFORM, Hospital Records, UKF, Perfect Havoc, PullUp Recordings and Rinse / KOOL.

James Hiraeth and Smoker teamed up again on Lights Off, released on Rinse / KOOL. Smoker also features on Oko’s Higher, and Birds of a Feather is among his other releases. With T & Sugah, he released the 2024 single Set It Off on Pilot. In 2025, DNMO and Smoker released End of the Road on UKF.
