OKO UK is Bristol-based drum-and-bass producer and DJ Georgie Harper. She began teaching herself guitar and singing at 12, then started going to drum-and-bass raves at about 15. Albums by Dimension and Chase & Status inspired her, and seeing Sam Divine perform in 2019 helped prompt her decision to pursue DJing.
Harper’s musical interests also include techno and UK dubstep, and she launched GIGI as a house-and-techno alias. She has described her sound as combining dancefloor beats with liquid drum and bass, and has worked with vocalists on her releases. In 2023, she released the single Acid. Her music has appeared on labels including Dub Shotta, Rinse / KOOL, Born On Road and High Tea Music. Her 2024 singles include Abduction, Got Me, Hold You Down and Higher.
Harper’s collaborations include Genetics, Nathan Smoker, Rider Shafique and Grove. With Genetics, she made the single Redline for High Tea Music. The Born On Road single Been Busy brought together Rider Shafique and Grove with OKO UK. On Soulvent Records, vocalist Sahala joined her for the single Surrender, while vocalist Kiah featured on Disguise, its paired track. Harper also runs Eight Five Two, a Bristol-based label and events brand.
In 2025, Harper released the single Shadow. Her 2026 singles include Wicked & Crisp (OKO Remix) on Fly Boy Records with 1111, and Legit on Helix Records with Coco and Rendah. She also released Think About Your Love on Monstercat with XLVR, and Radiate on FUTURE with 5X and Em Louise.
Harper says “OKO” means “eyes” in Bosnian and refers to her grandmother’s green eyes.
