Pola & Bryson

Jack “Pola” Higgins and Harry Bryson met in 2012 and began making music together after moving to London to study. The UK drum-and-bass producers grew up in different settings: Bryson in rural West Yorkshire, Higgins in East London. Their early work appeared on Soulvent Records, where they released the EP The Music and the single of the same name. In 2017, the title track of their Find Your Way EP featured Charlotte Haining. Their releases also found homes at Hospital Records, Liquicity and Spearhead Records.

Their debut album, This Time Last Year, arrived through Soulvent Records. The follow-up, Lost In Thought, came out on Shogun Audio and received a nomination for Best Album at the Drum&BassArena Awards. The duo’s third album, Beneath The Surface, followed on the same label in September 2021. They said the album’s concept took shape during the COVID-19 lockdown period. Alongside the albums, their releases include the EPs Unsaid and Pacific, as well as the singles “Phoneline” with Emily Makis and “Worlds Apart” with Makis.

Pola & Bryson have also worked with Sub Focus on “Waiting”, with IYAMAH on “Too Shy” and with Gardna on “Down Low”. Their collaboration with Sub Focus extended to “Waiting (VIP)”. The pair’s sound has been described in terms of melancholy, emotion and euphoria. A 2023 release on EMI also brought Kelli-Leigh into their work with Sub Focus. Their first event took place in 2016.

In 2025, the album Overgrown brought collaborations with Break, MPH, IYAMAH, Jelani Blackman and Kelli-Leigh. The duo also released the single “Klaxon” that year on fabric Records. In 2026, their single “This Time” came out on Shogun Audio. They played Uebel & Gefährlich in Hamburg on 25 September 2026, followed by a show at Depot Mayfield on 9 October. In 2022, they released “Make Me Wanna (Pola & Bryson Remix)” on 3Beat with Future Cut. Their 2024 single “Warning” on Hospital Records featured Unglued.
