In 1991, Q Project began releasing music under that name with the track Freestyle Fanatic. The alias belongs to British producer Jason Greenhalgh, who is also known as Quiff. Q Project is associated with drum and bass, while Champion Sound is a jungle track that became a popular anthem during the 1990s. Greenhalgh’s work under the Q Project name has appeared on Hospital Records and Good Looking Records. The 2006 album Renaissance Man is another notable release under the alias.
Greenhalgh is also one half of the drum-and-bass duo Total Science, alongside Paul Smith, who performs as Spinback. The two producers have worked together under that name, while Q Project remains Greenhalgh’s own recording alias.
Q Project has produced for Legend, C.I.A., and Hospital. In 2011, Q Project released the single Hotspot / T1 on Innerground Records with 8 Bits and S.P.Y. In 2016, Q Project appeared with Calibre and Total Science on the single CIA 20 LP Sampler, released on Computer Integrated Audio.
