Ragga Twins

Hackney-born brothers Deman Rocker, whose real name is David Destouche, and Flinty Badman, born Trevor Destouche, began performing together as Ragga Twins in 1989. Before that, they worked as MCs with London’s Unity sound system. Their early singles included “Spliffhead,” “Wipe the Needle,” “Hooligan 69” and “Mixed Truth”, produced by Shut Up & Dance. The duo’s early releases appeared on that label, including the 1991 album Reggae Owes Me Money. Ragga Twins are also known as RTC, and their music is described as ragga and jungle.

Later releases brought the duo to Positiva, while Soul Jazz compiled their work for Ragga Twins Step Out. Their work with Aquasky included tracks released through Botchit & Scarper and Moving Shadow. From 2002, the two acts released 12-inch singles together on Passenger; the partnership also produced the single “All in Check” / “Loko”. In 2003, Ragga Twins and Aquasky released the single “Dirty Entertainerz” on Sonix. The duo also featured on Skrillex tracks “All Is Fair in Love and Brostep” and “Ragga Bomb”.

In 2017, Ragga Twins released the album In Time with Wrongtom. Their subsequent collaborations span several labels and performers: the 2026 single “Boom Stylah” paired them with KAYA FYAH on Karma London Records, while “Lord Have Mercy (Georgie Riot Remix)” appeared on Riot Records. That year also brought “O Tempo Levou”, released with Cavaleiros de JAH and Pancadão Laser Som through D''CRUZ Produções, and “Fed Up”, a single with Tippa Irie on Nice Up!.

Two further 2026 singles connected Ragga Twins with Deekline and Jungle Cakes on “Creepah”, and with Aquasky on their earlier Sonix release. On 6 June 2026, the duo played at Disco Zwei. The brothers’ work as MCs with Unity preceded their 1989 start as Ragga Twins; their releases have since included collaborations with Aquasky, Wrongtom, Skrillex, KAYA FYAH, Tippa Irie and Deekline.
