Rogue is the stage name of UK producer Joel Hunt, who began making music because he loved dubstep and wanted to create his own version. Early online self-promotion helped him build an audience and connect with Monstercat. On YouTube, his project passed 6,000 subscribers within two months of launching, and the label approached him about a release during that period. His first release with Monstercat was the 2012 single Pushed Away, made with Tristam.
Rogue’s 2012 releases also included the EPs Dreams EP and Catalyst EP; the following year, he released Earth EP. His collaborations have also included work with Justin OH and Laura Brehm. His music ranges from chill and experimental sounds to melodic and heavier styles.
In 2018, Rogue released the single Fortress on Monstercat, followed in 2020 by Empires on the same label. Three more Monstercat singles arrived in 2022: Guiding Light, Starlight and Emeralds. Rogue returned to Monstercat for the 2025 single Perfect.
Rogue played at Sognage on 3 October 2026.
