Scott Allen grew up in Seattle, Washington, where an early interest in music preceded his work as a drum-and-bass DJ and producer. In January 2011, Allen launched Soul Deep Recordings with producer Deeper Connection. He later ran the label with its Soul Deep Exclusives imprint, which released his album Soul Signal in 2019. The full-length was also an instalment in Soul Deep’s Artist Spotlight Series. It includes collaborations with Furney and A.K.A.; Allen and Furney have made enough joint material for two albums.
With SubSid, he released the EP The Almighty. His other collaborations include a single, “U & Me (Scott Allen Remix)”, with Askel and Critical Event, released in 2019. In 2020, “Chess Pieces”, a single with Emcee Tell, came out on Soul Deep Digital. The same year, Allen released the single “Life Time” with Nicarsio on Juicetentacion.
