Vienna is home to SKIYE, the stage name of Austrian producer and DJ Kilian Braun. Braun began making music as Skydrill in 2019, teaching himself production in FL Studio. His first experiments were lo-fi before he moved into Belgian jump-up drum and bass. He later explored more melodic music, then returned to jump-up; as SKIYE, he describes his sound as a blend of euphoric dancefloor drum and bass and jump-up. The name is pronounced “Sky”, and Braun relaunched under it in 2024.
Unofficial remixes of Calvin Harris’s “Feel So Close” and Missy Elliott’s “Get Ur Freak On” drew early attention, generating more than 10,000 downloads before Braun’s original releases. His track “Walkman” and its El Pablo remix reached number one on Beatport’s Drum & Bass Top 100. The two releases were among his biggest successes there, and El Pablo became a collaborator: Braun has worked on a project with him and planned a first back-to-back performance together. SKIYE’s music has received support from Netsky, Dimension, Camo & Krooked, A.M.C and Kanine.
SKIYE has released music on DnB Allstars, Elevate Records, Ridmic and High Tea Music, including a 2022 single with Tremmor on Exert Records. That single is titled A Girl Called Alice. A 2025 single appeared on absrd wrld; its title is All I Need (Your Love). In 2026, SKIYE released a single on High Tea Music that passed 300,000 streams, alongside a single on Elevate Records and a single under the SKIYE name. The 2026 releases also include a remix on IMPOLITE Records with Clank & Maider and Ekstatic. The remix is titled Everything You Need (SKIYE Remix), and the single under the SKIYE name is Slow It Down. “Smoke & Mirrors” is among his notable releases, while “Back To You” appeared on Elevate Records.
