Stan SB is the former stage name of Stanley Stevenson-Byrne, an English producer, DJ, singer and songwriter from Leeds, West Yorkshire, who later performed as Fox Stevenson. His music under the earlier name is associated mainly with drum and bass and glitch hop. Releases under the alias include the EP Anyone Out There and tracks “Dead”, “Flat Foot Face”, “The Process” and “Stratosphere”. Stevenson said he began producing music under the name Stan SB about five years before a 2017 interview. In a 2014 interview, he said the name change reflected his wish to make music beyond drum and bass, which he felt had become attached to Stan SB.
Stan SB’s releases have appeared on Liquicity Records, Subsphere Records, Straight Up! and Photo Finish. A Maduk remix appeared on Liquicity Memoirs. Stan SB also remixed Feint’s “Horizons”, featuring Veela, and worked with Feint on the single “Your Own Way” and with Candyland on “The Secret”. The track “Cloud Head” was featured by the Liquicity music community.
In 2015, “Get What I Can” was released on Liquicity Records.
