T. Power is the recording name of London drum-and-bass producer Marc Royal, from Bow. He began producing in the UK hardcore scene before moving into jungle and drum and bass, and worked with hardcore techno group Bass Selective before pursuing a solo career. The jungle and drum-and-bass label Botchit & Scarper signed him. His early solo albums include The Self Evident Truth of an Intuitive Mind (1995) and Waveform (1996).
With Chris Stevens, T. Power formed the duo Chocolate Weasel, which released the single “Music for Body Lockers” and the album Spaghettification. He also collaborated with producer Andre Williams on music released as Ebony Dubsters.
T. Power partnered with Shy FX on the album Long Time Dead (2000), which featured vocals and electric violin by Ysanne Spevack. The two co-founded the Digital Soundboy label and released the single “Shake Ur Body,” featuring Di. Their later releases included the album Diary of a Digital Sound Boy and the singles “Feelings” and “Everyday,” all on Digital Soundboy in 2014.
Adastra Recordings was created as a label for T. Power’s releases. In 2017, he and DJ Trace released “Mutant Jazz (Rollers Instinct Remix)” on Adastra Recordings.
