thook is an electronic music producer from Toronto, Canada, who began producing under that name about five years before discussing his early career in 2018. He has described himself as a producer first, with DJing as the live side of his work. Nature and ambient sounds influence his music, and he seeks out unusual samples online. He also co-founded the Make Your Mark collective with close friends, including Lingo and Nate.
An early full-length release was ACTION LP, issued in 2016. In 2018, thook released the single Forest through thook sound, followed by the single Crash with Holly on Jadu Dala and the single Cliff Jump with Dabow. His releases that year were largely self-released, and he said he was interested in working with labels. In 2019, he put out the EP Natural Instincts through Quality Goods and the album NOISE on Dome of Doom, after connecting with the label through an opening set for Daedelus and Holly.
thook’s music spans bass music and trap, with experimental production and melodies inspired by Middle Eastern music. His collaborations include CARBON with JKuch and Vertigo with Pigeon Hole. The 2020 EP THE MIRROR FILES contains three tracks. His other album releases include BONES FROM GOD, while his work also includes the album DUSK, released in 2026 through thook sound.
