Canadian producer and DJ Wraz, whose real name is Chris Pilon, is based in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Pilon began posting beats under the Wraz name in 2013, after his friend Motus introduced him to electronic music and Ableton while they were in college. Before concentrating on production, Pilon studied music composition for video games and films, then earned a master’s degree in conducting. An early release was the 2017 single Arcane EP on Version Collective. Wraz’s music spans dubstep, drum & bass and halftime, and his approach draws on analog synthesis, melodies and drum grooves.
Wraz has put out music through Deep Dark & Dangerous, Deep Medi, Deadbeats, Artikal Music and Duploc, as well as Dank N Dirty Dubz, After Dark Music and DRTCake. The 2022 EP Annunaki appeared on Deep Dark & Dangerous, a label that also released the 2026 album Rites LP. Other releases include the EP Out of the Woods, made with Abstrakt Sonance, and FUNERAL EP. His label credits also include Deep Dark & Dangerous, Deep Medi Musik, Duploc, Wheel & Deal Records, SubCarbon Records, Artikal Music UK and DarkMode. In 2026, Arena came out on Deep Medi Musik.
Wraz’s collaborations include the track “Mash Dem Down” with PAV4N and Strategy. The compilation Wraz and Friends, Volume 2 brings together collaborations with Detoor, Torcha, Criso and IDHS. Wraz also co-founded the weekly Twitch show Gunfingaz Thursday with Substance. Further 2026 releases include the single “Rude Sound Culture” with CØNTRA on Bassrush Records, and “Quayback / Noise Complaint” with Slowie on Deep Dark & Dangerous. A remix of “Gates of Algiden” by Wraz appeared with Josh Teed on Gravitas Recordings.
In 2025, Wraz played Tangent Gallery alongside Shosh, Dieselboy, Justin Hawkes and other artists.
