SMG dives straight into his dark yet deep sonic universe with two more finely tuned pieces of contemporary D&B for Critical Music.
‘Mishap’ sees the Bristol-based producer riding the momentum of his recent collaboration with label boss Kasra, balancing crisp, stepping drums with twisted bass, expertly decorated by restrained bars from MC and vocalist Duskee.
‘Let Arf’ shifts gears, its eponymous sound clash samples ushering in a lean, minimal rhythm brought to life by grizzled bass and offset by a strangely infectious lilting synth-line.
