Grooves
Promoter / crew
Grooves is back at the famous Four Quarters basement with a back-to-back special. As always, the lineup has been curated with a view to exhibiting the full depth and breadth of drum & bass, jungle, breaks, and underground music with attitude. Every DJ on the lineup knows how to delicately balance waves of warm tones with onslaughts of cold cuts; so no two moments will be the same when Tim Clay, Sideshow and the Grooves residents pair up at the turntables. Expect variety, expect an onslaught of fresh tunes, and expect healthy competition between these qualified selectors.
Grooves’ vision remains a night aimed at partygoers, jungle nerds, and chin-stroking DJs alike; the aim is to exhibit the best of DJ culture in underground music, whilst creating a safe space for those who just want to get lost in music for hours on end. For some, the thrill will be found in admiring the technical ability and selection prowess of the DJs; but for most, high quality music heard in high fidelity surrounded by people on the same wavelength is what makes a night memorable.
Entry is free all night and non-ticketed, last entry 1am. See you on the dancefloor x
