THUMP: Sam Binga, STERBO, KEN FINCH

DJ & Producer from Bristol, UK. Sam Binga has placed himself firmly at the centre of this new wave, with releases on some of dance music’s most respected underground labels – 50 Weapons, Exit and Critical. His sound spans the anthemic rowdiness of tracks like ‘AYO’ and ‘Lef Dem’, to the deeper explorations of his collaborations with Om Unit, and has attracted the attention of artists such as Zed Bias and CHVRCHES – who have both hit him up for remix work – and Kode9, who featured his tune ’11th’ with Addison Groove on his critically acclaimed Rinse CD.

Sterbo is a Nashville based dj, visual artist and founder of Thump Musiq, a multifaceted monthly party and audio/visual collective focused on underground sounds. He is a part time resident on the radio show Indo Burma hosted by DJ Headwalker and is drawn to the deeper and bass heavy side of the spectrum. Not limited to genres, he is focused on rhythmic contrast and creating tension through long blends and careful selection.

Ken Finch is a Nashville-based teacher and writer who has been collecting and spinning drum and bass and other breakbeat and bass music for 25 years with varying degrees of diligence. He likes tracks that are groovy, dreamy, and weird. And he believes DJing is for everyone.
