Cat In The Bag was started by Tommy The Cat in 2018 as a label for jungle, liquid funk and ragga jungle. Its first release was Make That The Cat Wise, a single by Coco Bryce, FFF, Pastaman and Tommy The Cat. Coco Bryce, MSDOS and FFF are among the artists who have released music on the label.
The label’s output includes the Park Sessions series and numbered Cat In The Bag releases. In 2019, Tommy The Cat added Park Sessions and Oldschool Shoes as related imprints, with atmospheric jungle, drum and bass and trip-hop among their styles. Cat In The Bag releases music digitally and on vinyl, and runs the Cat In The Bag Jungle Sessions night at OT301 in Amsterdam. In 2023, FFF and Tommy The Cat released Cat In The Bag Limited 01, a limited 12-inch. MSDOS released the single Park Sessions 12 on Cat In The Bag in 2026.
