Deviant Audio is a Toronto label founded by producer STRANJAH in 2016 as a platform for bass-driven music. Its releases span drum and bass, from deep, dark rollers to soulful liquid sounds, and include EPs and singles by Objectiv, Creatures and Siege MC.
The label released flowanastasia and Tyr Kohout’s single Schema in 2019, followed by its debut compilation, Deviations, on 7 April 2020. Captivate joined as A&R ahead of the compilation, which brought together drum and bass, jungle, hybrid bass and half-time. The 14-track album featured Doctor Jeep, Metafloor, Johney and Jomari. In August 2021, Deviant Audio issued flowanastasia’s River Flows; Hexa’s single Blind Sight followed in 2026. The label also operates as an extension of STRANJAH’s music-production education work, with an emphasis on a supportive community.
